For a prop construction course I was tasked with creating a reliquary that contains Dracula’s severed hand.
Scale drawing to help determine if I had enough material to actually make it.
All the pieces laid out.
Weathered the wood by beating it with a chain, then stained it all before assembly.
Added the acrylic window, fabric to the bottom and some old rusty nails to the outside.
Cast and molded my hand out of plaster, bored a hole through it and started painting it.
Finished painting and added the stake.
