A quick little gift for a friend; they like the games craps and Yu-Gi-Oh, so I made a small craps field themed over a Yu-Gi-Oh card.
The inside border is painted to resemble the shadow realm for Yu-Gi-Oh.
And obviously the back was painted to resemble a Yu-Gi-Oh card’s back.
All the screws were countersunk to keep everything flush. In future projects I will mostly use staples or brad nails for something like this.
For a colorful and fun touch I decopatch some Yu-Gi-Oh cards to the outside edge.
The last part was to simply glue the mat into place. Which was easier said than done, because where I bought the mat from did not print it centered or cut it squared.
For an extra treat I added a millennium rod too. No trouble to make considering I cobbled it together from extra parts I had lying around.
